What Is Gamma Linoleic Acid (GLA)
Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) is an omega-6 fatty acid that keeps the skin barrier moist and the microbiome strong. A healthy skin barrier retains more moisture and has a smoother texture.
Essential fatty acids gamma linolenic acid (GLA) and Linoleic Acid (LA) have been proven to be the most effective agents for building and restoring a healthy skin barrier, reducing irritation, and trans-epidermal water loss. Applying GLA to the skin has been effective in reducing the symptoms of skin disorders including dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, acne and rosacea. Our proprietary blend delivers the highest possible GLA concentrations to the formula.
