Kunye is a Zulu word meaning "to be one." To me, oneness is alignment and integration - a process of becoming whole.
Since its inception, my vision has been to create a brand that reflected the values of mindfulness, authenticity, compassion, sustainability and inclusive wellness.
As a former esthetician turned somatic practitioner, holisticism has always been my approach to physical, mental, and emotional wellness. I found simplicity in minimizing self-care rituals into three areas of concentration - the inner self, the outer self, and the higher self.
The foundation of Kunye is rooted in my expert training across various wellness modalities and my lived experience as both teacher and student. The intention is to create products and practices that help folks slow down and return to oneness - with themselves and each other.
I believe that the world doesn’t need more products and our bodies don’t have to be bio-hacked to feel well. My hope is to create objects and experiences that help people approach mindfulness in a modern way that meets the demands of everyday life, addresses our inherent need for connection and self-care, and pairs it all down to only what is best.
